The Way by John Oxemham

To every man there openeth
A Way, and Ways, and a Way,
And the High Soul climbs the High Way,
And the Low Soul gropes the Low,
And in between, on the misty flats,
The rest drift to and fro.
But to every man there openeth
A High Way, and a Low.
And every man decideth
The way his soul shall go.

I love this poem because it is a great illustration of the decisions before each person in this life. Jesus Christ has called us to climb the High Way of his kingdom. But many people will grope the Low, and still more will simply drift to and fro in this world. Do you know which way you are choosing?

For anyone who wishes to join that journey of climbing the High Way I would encourage you to begin asking God to reveal himself to you. Then find a true church that can help point you in the right direction. At First Baptist we seek truth at the highest level and would love for you to join us as we are elevated by that truth each week as we gather together.
